Are you a Mac-head without a way to test your web designs on the most popular browser, Internet Explorer?
Are you a PC-freak with no way of testing your web designs on the popular Safari browser that is found on all Macs?
Look no further! Litmus is a new web based app that will show you how your web design mockup looks on all major browsers.
Link: http://litmusapp.com/
Straight from their website:
We won’t preach to you about cross-browser compatibility. We know you know it’s essential your sites look great across all modern browsers.
Litmus shows you exactly how your designs look on every platform, across every popular web browser. (And the not-so-popular ones.)
Once you’ve finished testing, one click publishes a full compatibility report ready for review by your client or boss. It’s pretty neat.

1. You are a non-profit agency
2. You have a website
3. You want to accept donations online
Solution: Paypal Donate buttons – easy to setup and easier to install on website. Paypal takes a small percentage of each transaction and you keep the rest. Then you can transfer the funds to your bank account at your leisure.

Consider using punctuation in your URLs. The URL http://www.example.com/green-dress.html is much more useful to us than http://www.example.com/greendress.html. We recommend that you use hyphens (-) instead of underscores (_) in your URLs.

Sometimes I forget which one uses the # symbol and which one uses the ‘.’ when defining these elements in your style sheet. In fact, when should you use one over the other? What rules govern the selection of classes or id’s?
Here is a nice little article from www.tizag.com that may help you out.

Every now and then I will get a call from someone asking if I do “_________” websites. Sometimes it’s dating, sports, or photography. Usually I say yes, because although I have not created a website for every single industry out there known to man, I do have the ability to learn about that specific industry and create something relevant and professional.
So, with that said, here are some other industry specific websites that I can develop and design:
Architecture Websites
Photography Websites
Restaurant Websites
Educational Websites
Entertainment Websites
Insurance Agent Websites
Non Profit Websites
Real Estate Websites
Religious or Christian Websites
Technology Websites
Travel and Vacation Websites

Impulse now offers a brand new web consulting service. Who may need a web consultant you ask?
1. If you are in the middle of a project and need some guidance on how to complete the project.
2. If you are currently working with another developer but need someone to help manage and guide the project to completion.
3. You are fed up with your current developer who is over budget and out of time.
4. You have a web project but are not sure where to start or how to implement your ideas onto the web.

I found this site today called Backpage.com – basically it looks and operates like Craigslist.org.
But, it did allow me to upload up to 4 images per listing and it had nice GUI interface buttons for bolding, underlining or italicizing my text; with Craigslist.org you have to know HTML to do that and type it in manually.
Also, it has a nice ‘Manage Ad’ button which allows you to easily edit and delete, yes I said DELETE your listing. Craigslist does not let you delete old postings for some reason which annoys the heck out of me.
