I frequently get a newsletter from Buddy Blake in Wilmington NC, a local real estate agent.
His latest newsletter mentioned an article about the last remaining growing housing markets in the country. Suprisingly, Wilmington NC was among the top 5 in the nation, citing a 9.1% 1-yr price increase, a $272k median price and a fast, growing population.
The top 5 were:
Wenatchee, WashingtonSalt Lake City, UtahGrand Junction, ColoradoSeattle, WashingtonWilmington, NC

We would like to say thank you to all of the brave men and women who risked their own lives to save others during the 9/11 crisis.
We also want to say we appreciate all the men and women in the armed forces right now who are defending our freedom and doing their duty, even when it may seem like there is no end in sight.
We sympathize with those who lost loved ones to the 9/11 terrorist attacks and pray for their families and friends.
God bless America
We recently moved to Leland NC and our cell phones don’t work inside our new home. Sometimes they work on a good day if we stand in our drive way and hold our tongue just right and stand on one foot and face West and there is no wind.
Our contract with Sprint won’t be up until Feb so we are bummed about speaking to relatives and such from our house.
However, my brother in law found out about Skype and told us about it. We immediately set it up and we were video chatting within minutes.
Skype allows you to talk for free over the internet as long as both parties are using Skype. Since we both have laptops with built in cams, my wife and I were video chatting with her brother in Raleigh in no time. Besides some minor internet chatter, the audio and video were great even though he’s on an HP and I was on a Mac Book Pro.
This is pretty cool.
In the future, I can see someone downloading some surf footage they just recorded to the ‘Surface’ and then everybody gathering around to watch it. Touch screen playback options would also be available such as Play, Stop, Rewind, etc.
I found out about these 3 sites where you can submit your site for free. Only the best looking ones make it so they are good for getting inspired and sparking your creativity.

Oh wait, it’s April 1 – April Fool’s Day – they almost got me though – I was like ‘Whaaaaaaaattttttt!’ I was on to them the minute I saw the guy with the snorkel and goggles.

Had to figure this one out the hardway so I thought I would share my experience. My boss gave me a nice new iPod Nano for a Christmas bonus and my wife wanted to copy songs onto it from CDs.
1. Open iTunes. If you don’t have it download it from Apple.com
2. Insert CD into disc player
3. It will ask you if you want to import the songs from the CD to your Music Library. This is the key to iTunes – everything is in your Library. If you want the whole CD, click ‘Yes’ and it will import the entire CD to your Library. If you only want certain songs, click ‘No’. Then, highlight the songs you want, and drag and drop them onto the word ‘Library’ at the top left. This will import the selected songs from the CD into your Library.
4. Connect your iPod to your PC or Mac using the provided USB cable.
5. You have 2 options here: let iTunes automatically sync up your iPod and Library or manage it manually. If you want to sync it automatically, when it asks you, click ‘Yes’. Otherwise, there is an option that you need to check to manage your music manually. Under Devices you should see your iPod, click on your device, and then under the second tab I believe is a checkbox for letting you control your music manually.
6. Lastly, go to your Library, select the songs you want to transfer and drag ‘n drop them to your iPod listed under Devices. iTunes will then begin transferring the music to your iPod. Be sure not to disconnect your iPod until it is done; when it is, right click on your iPod listed under Devices and select Eject.
Hope this helps
