Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, Ctrl+X vs. Cmd+C, Cmd+V, Cmd+X

I finally got a Mac for work but my work flow was slowing down because I could not use the same shortcuts I used on my PC.

Specifically, the beloved copy, paste and cut shortcuts, Ctrl+c, Ctrl+v and Ctrl+x, respectively. On the Mac, you can still use those shortcuts, but you have to use the Apple/Cmd key instead – its the 2 kesy that have an Apple on it – either side of the space bar.

To fix this problem, click on the Apple in the top left of your screen, > System Preferences > Keyboard and Mouse > Modifier Keys (button on the bottom of the window) and change the Ctrl key to the command key and the Cmd key to the control key. Voila!!! Now you all you old skool PC peeps like me can keep using Ctrl+c,v,x like we use to.Hope this helps. This article helped me a lot.
